Country default emission factors are applied automatically where official datasets (e.g. AIB Residual Mix, national inventories) are available.
In cases where official country electricity factors are not available (AIB NA), a market-based factor (e.g. supported by Guarantees of Origin or supplier disclosure) is required to proceed.
Manual override is recorded only when emission factors are explicitly changed by the user. Factors not relevant to the selected input unit are ignored and not treated as overrides.
Future enhancements may include multi-site consolidation, extended Scope 3 coverage, and additional verified factor datasets.
